Re: Cutting Slots
Won't work on a Shopsmith. Inadequate depth of cut. Dotted line is at 3.5".

Re: Cutting Slots
I think this could be done using a near-horizontal router setup on the Mark. I don't recall ever running that small a bit at low speeds, but still thinking it could be made to work. Better with a PowerPro, but still kinda slow.(?) I think the OP has changed to 15 degrees off the other axis, a simple table saw setup.

He is saying 15 deg on the Shopsmith trunnion scale (where 0 = perpendicular to the table) or 75 deg to the table.dusty wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 7:39 amDepending on how you measure the angle, the sketch depicts 15 degree slots. Fifteen degrees with reference to which surface?mountainbreeze wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 4:23 pm What Dusty drew is what was asked for however, I have since found that what he really wants is 15°, not 75° which is easy.

that shouldn't be too difficult . tilt the fence so the wood rides along the fence and not drifting away from it ? as long as the table is big enough to get the right number of slots ?
