Tire Creep

I am now experiencing what looks like a dangerous bandsaw tire creep. I have the urethane tires but was under the impression that an adhesive wasn't necessary. The tires are about three yrs. old. I am not a power user of the band saw but do use it regularly. The creep is to the outside of the wheels and is especially prone to do so on the wider blades.

The obvious questions are, do I use and adhesive, replace the tires or both?

Drat, I have been using the wrong tires all this time. Mine measure 32inches od.
No wonder they were so easy getting on and off.

I remember that earlier thread but assumed mine were correct. Watch that word assume.

If you got them from Shopsmith call customer service, tell them the complete story and see what they are willing to do. My bet is that you will be pleased.

Tire Creep??? We had a creep that was peeping into windows called the Woods Creep because he hid out in the woods. It seems one day my neighbor just happened to come out of his house carrying a 2x4 when all the sudden the creep ran into it. My neighbor was upset that the guy got hurt but he says he kept warning the guy to be careful that he was going to hurt himself but the guy kept jumping up and running into the board no matter where my neighbor held it. The police said they have heard of strange things like this happening to creeps before. The EMT's were concerned that the guy must have lost his glasses since he kept running into the 2x4.

I guess you call you creep the "tire creep" because he hides behind tires? Maybe you should just recycle the tires then he wouldn't be able to hide out .....

My version of "tire creep" happens when dogs, rabbits, cats, possums, etc. like to creep close to my vehicle's tires when I'm driving down the road. They really like to try to read the lettering on the tires!

Gosh several years ago we had trouble with young creeps racing on our road. Now I understand what the neighbor meant when he said one night a creep racing up the road ran into railroad tie that just happened to fall out of his planter into the road. I guess that's another form of tire creep. fjimp:eek:

OK, After 30+ years in the HS Biology classroom I gave detentions to clean glassware for less.

Instead get yourselves to your SS as you have too much time on your hands.

Still I am glad my blade didn't come off while working and I still have my hands.
