Re: winter is coming
garys,
That's quite a contrast to the triple digits when I was there in June. Here Summer is still holding on and yesterday it was sunny, in the mid 80's and a record for the date. Unusual for us in October. It has also been very dry still. We are expecting 3 more days this week at 80 plus. With the shorter days the lows are in the 50's or 40's.
Hobbyman2,
I think anytime CAN be a good time for making sawdust. Unfortunately, there are exceptions.

Re: winter is coming
Our Summer is finally coming to an end. We have had less than a 1/2" or rain in the last 120 days, a new record. The last time I saw rain was in July but that was in Alaska. This month so far, we have had several new high temperature records set and only a couple days have been near average. Friday the rains are expected to begin and continuing for at least the following week with normal October temperatures. The high temperature is going from 78 for Wednesday, 68 for Thursday to 58 for Friday. Maybe winter is finally coming here. Still plenty to do in the shop. I am currently reassembling Shopsmith Model 10E serial number 1076 and hope to have it done by its 75th anniversary.
