Restoring Woodmaster 5 in 1 multitool

Hello! I recently acquired a Woodmaster 5 in 1 and I cannot for the life of me find any documentation on how to operate or maintain it. I am wondering if it is missing any parts as it is obviously older. Can anyone help with any documentation? Thank you.

This may or may not help. The Wood Master Multi-Tool is a clone of the Shopsmith Mark V. To the best of my knowledge, it functions pretty much the same as a Mark V 500. There are differences in the parts and some parts are apparently interchangeable while other are not. I have not owned any of the Shopsmith Clones so I cannot answer any specific questions. From what I see in the picture above it does not look complete compared to what comes with a Shopsmith Mark V 500.

Welcome to the Shopsmith Forum.

As you can see from the lack of responses not much new information is to be found here. The Shopsmith Clones are not that popular with Shopsmith owners. They were sold cheaper than an actual Shopsmith Mark V and were made cheaper too. Sorry that this is not the help you were looking for. I don't know what 2822483 refers to. There were several different names/brands for Shopsmith Clones. None, to my knowledge, are still made or available except on the used market.

I would suggest you get to know what your tool can do and if you like the versatility of a multi-tool you may want to consider getting an actual Shopsmith Mark series tool. Used Mark Vs are easy to find and reasonable. I saw an ad for a Mark V with the Bandsaw attachment this morning near me for $200. That is an exceptional buy, but great deals do show up from time to time. If your Shopsmith clone needs parts you could easily spend that much or more trying to get used parts for it, if you can find them.
