I have noticed that lately there have been no or questionable SPAM posts. I just noticed HopefulSSer is now listed as a moderator for all the topics on the forum. He (she) has been a strong advocate of eliminating first time posters of dubious intentions in the past. Thank you to SS and thank you to HopefulSSer for volunteering to do this time consuming task. The forum has been clean for quite some time now. Keep up the good work. You are appreciated.

What is unusual is the minimal amount of spamming recently compared to recent past. The inclusion of HopefulSSer as all inclusive like Admin)is the result of Admin including him when he approved him as a moderator.

I guess that is what I meant. Not knowing the insiders that have access to the facts. :) :)

Thanks! I've not been doing the moderator thang for long so I don't have a feel for any trends, but since I've been doing it, while there have been a few bursts, mostly it's been a dribbling 1-2 on most days. (Most of them are Russian. There's a "glad i joined" bot in the queue right now. ;-) Hasn't been that bad.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?) there haven't been many of the join-then-edit spammers which my browser config seemed to make more visible to me than others. I was looking forward to squashing those but there haven't been many opportunities!
