Yeah, but in the legalese of selling companies, a lot of that stuff like trademarks/copyrights moves along to the next owner(s). Like I said, I think it would be a bad idea to alert present-day Shopsmith of the proposed printing.

The attached PDF is for printing a replica of the wheel chart of the speeds. Print page one and two back-to-back aligning the green dots. That is the inner wheel. Page three is both outside wheels. Use heavy stock paper like card stock. I haven't made one myself but had this PDF from someone.

.
10ER SPEED SELECTOR WHEEL DIAGRAM.pdf
(782.76 KiB) Downloaded 105 times
.
An Eyelet Kit can then be used to put it together. Do NOT make the Eyelet to tight as you want the three wheels to turn.

There are a lot of the old Magna Manuals/Documents available or reproduced and found through this Shopsmith Forum Site. So far I do not know of any issues Shopsmith has had with that. Many of the Shopsmith manuals and instructions are available now for free as PDF's here on the Shopsmith Website.

If it helps, I would be happy to remove my grommet and send you the two parts for printing. There's a small margin line that was faded and so I filled that in(badly) with a Sharpie, but I think a good printer in laying that out could redo that.

Russ,

That generally falls under 'educational' purview and is usually permissible. When you start talking about professional printing and resale, that usually draws the ire of the company in question. As old as Shopsmith is, they could be completely OK with this....I dunno their policy.

OK. Make sure she understands to print these on heavy cardboard stock like the originals. It would be nice if all the colors and printing were like the originals.

I would buy three or four.

She can do the color printing for sure.
I will see what she has available for the type of cardboard stock.

See if she can make them more durable after printing by somehow applying something. My first idea was to spray shellac them, but that might dissolve the ink. Clear adhesive sided sheets come to mind.
