End result looks great. How strong and stable are those Amazon brackets? I like the idea of having it separable. A big beefy vise using hardwoods will be a little heavy, but nothing like lifting the jointer/planer off & on the Mark V. Just wondering if while clamping something using the expanded work surface if those Amazon brackets will move any or if you have had any problems with them yet? Thanks for sharing your version. Both are great inspiration.

They seem VERY strong, there is no movement, and I foresee no issues with them.
No problem with the weight either, if need be you can always separate the vise and worktop, install the vise first, then once secured put the worktop onto the vise.
The top work surface is snug against the rear jaw and there is NO flex in the outboard side of it. There is also the option of sliding the headstock under outboard side of the work surface and resting it on top of the headstock IF additional support is needed.
Another support option could be to incorporate using the 520 front and rear rails & table by sliding the connecting tubes, under or attaching them to the work surface (just an option that I don’t believe will be necessary)
