Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Some folks local to us are planning an estate sale and have a mid 80's Mark 5 they want to get rid of, asked me if I'd help. Looks like they have a pretty good selection of attachments, jig saw, planer, band saw, jointer, sanding disks, sharpening disks, nova chuck quite a selection. There's no market for the stuff in this region I told them I'd post here to see if actual enthusiasts would be interested. They're not interested in parting out, looking to sell whole package. Send PM and we can see where this goes.
Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Picked this one up yesterday - thanks for the tip! It's a Yuba Greenie (first of those I’ve ever personally seen), with jointer (also Yuba Greenie) and bandsaw (Magna American Goldie). Hope to have the M5 and jointer fixed up and back in service soon…lew wrote: Mon Aug 18, 2025 11:11 am Free in RI.. https://providence.craigslist.org/tls/d ... 42619.html

It’s all torn down right now, but I’ll post some pics when I finish cleanup and reassembly. Not going for showroom new on this one - original paint is passable, and I want to get it in the hands of a new user as quickly as possible.

Rare Shopsmith clone in Central NY
Here’s one you don’t see very often - a cheap knockoff of the Model 10ER called the Supershop:
https://ithaca.craigslist.org/tls/d/mec ... 51926.html
This particular listing in fact has it misidentified as a “1947 Shopsmith”! Well Supershop’s marketing people tried to confuse the public back in the day, so I guess it’s still working!
