I want to thank Shopsmith LP for restoring the Shopmith forum!

The vast knowledge of all things shopsmith and unique experiences with shopsmith equipment that are found here are irreplaceable, and it is shared with all, no matter how inexperienced the poster. I have found this forum to be one of the most welcoming, friendly, respectful and helpful forums I have ever interacted with.

Hoping for a great future for Shopsmith LP

Very happy Shopsmith is back and will be better than ever.

Let's give them the chance to ramp up, and support them in any possible way we can, even an atta-boy!

I'm a huge Shopsmith brand fan, owner, user, and truly believe in their precision, versatility, quality.

I believe in Jim McCann, and all the Shopsmith employees I don't know of, they all deserve a gratitude of thanks for putting their expertise and dedication to the products. Well done to the new owners and relaunch.

Thank you,

Jon Normandin (Normy)

Shopsmith L.P. had nothing to do with restoring this forum. Shopsmith USA LLC is responsible for restoring it!

I cheer the revival of Shopsmith. I have my Great Uncle Art’s 1955 Greenie in my garage running well with new belts and bearings.

You said, “Shopsmith L.P. had nothing to do with restoring this forum. Shopsmith USA LLC” - is Shopsmith USA LLC and partner in Shopsmith LP? If not that, what is the relationship?

I think all owners welcome the revitalization of Shopsmith - thanks for being here!

Goodsoul,

The Shopsmith tool line and all the company assets have been purchased by new owners under Shopsmith USA. Shopsmith L.P., like all previous owners, is now part of the Magna/Shopsmith tools history.

I'm glad to see that the Shopsmith brand will be alive and well. I've owned my Shopsmith Mk 5 for 44 years, and have upgraded to the 520 with a lot of bells and whistles. I still have the original 500 headstock (new motor) with legs and "shorty" tubes where I keep a bandsaw and disc sander set up. Also, I have many of the attachments including the 4" planer (with a Shelix spiral cutting head), but still don't have all attachments. Now, I have hope of getting everything.

When I heard that Shopsmith was closing, I felt sick. I felt like a part of me had died. But now that Shopsmith will be revived, all is right with the world. I can't wait to shop on the Shopsmith web site again. I'll probably buy something just to celebrate. Thank you for reviving a Great USA company.

I hope that your very special lady in customer service is still part of your team. She was really good and helped make Shopsmith an outstanding company. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name. Starts with an "S"?
