tromine61,
If you scroll back up (on the previous page) to the picture I posted of Shopsmith 5/8" Arbors, you will find 555608 in the lower right corner. That is the current 5/8" Saw Blade Arbor for the Models 510/505. 520, Mark 7 and was previously for the Shopsmith Table Saw. It is the one HopefulSSer provided the link to in the Shopsmith online catalog. In the upper row is 555118 which was the previous 5/8" Saw Blade Arbor for the Mark V 510/505 when it was introduced but was discontinued. You may see references to that Arbor in the manual or other printed literature. Either Arbor will work for your 510.

Thank you for the information. I will do it right on the next postHopefulSSer wrote: Mon Feb 02, 2026 8:51 am Welcome to the forum!
In order to get better visibility, it's preferable to start a new thread rather than to tack a question like this onto an existing thread.
With that said, you need this arbor:

520 extension tables
I have the 27 inch connector tubes for the floating tables on my model 510. will the tubes work if I purchase the upgrade 520 tables?

model 510 drill press
Checking to see if anyone has ever experienced this issue. While drilling multiple holes in a board, the pre -set depth changes. And I have to re-set the depth again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Re: What is it? Shopsmith Inventory
Is the table slowly moving down?
Re: What is it? Shopsmith Inventory
I have the table all the way down,so it can't move. I am thinking that it is something in the drill press? Maybe in the quill?
Re: What is it? Shopsmith Inventory
I had a machine once that the depth dial itself would move once you got to the stop. I don't remember the exact cause because this was like 40 years ago. But it had to do with the serrated washers that are meant to lock the dial to the shaft when the depth stop is set. It was either missing a serrated washer, the serrations for one or both were on the wrong side, or one of the washers lacked serrations.
There are other possibilities like the headstock moving on the way tubes or the bit moving in the chuck.

Re: What is it? Shopsmith Inventory
The question is - what is moving? Yes the table is one possibility. The quill stop serrated washers are another as well as the quill return spring housing retaining set screw (where the actual stop is located) are two more. NONE of the three should move under reasonable loading. Oh add the quill stop locking wing nut to the list.
