Ordering / mailbox full

Post by cooch366 »

I’m trying to place an order online and getting the dreaded “404” page missing error &
When calling the mailbox is full.

Any suggestions on how to contact them and place an order?

Thanks. Steve

Whether this will help depends on when you are getting the 404. After looking up a part I hit "Shop Now" and got the 404. I went back and entered the PN in the search box and before I hit Enter a small pop-up window showed up with the part I was after (though I didn't see it in the search results). I clicked in that window and got the product page. Unfortunately it was Out Of Stock. So, it didn't work for me except as a means to get around the 404. But maybe you'll get farther if your part is in stock.(?)

Currently Shopsmith USA is only accepting orders for items in stock. For out-of-stock items there is supposed to be a way of putting yourself on a notification list to be informed when an item is back in stock. I haven't tried either yet so no first-hand experience but glitches are likely as inventories are updated with Shopsmith getting back into normal operations.

I used the Notify Me When Available option a couple weeks ago and received an email yesterday that the item was available.

Item was in stock when entering the part number Russ. I’m sure their plates are full getting up to speed, I’m in no rush, just really glad they are back and want/will support then as much as I can.

Well my recent ordering experience was more successful with a couple reasonable glitches.

I checked to see if SS had any newer(larger hose connection) belt sander dust collection port. They had three.

I attempted to order one and all went well until at the end the $30 minimum order detail was revealed.

At first this miffed me a bit, but after a little bit of reasonable thought I realized this threshold allowed SS to NOT charge shipping cost to the customer.

After exploring for an additional $15.05 worth of "available" parts I settled on adding a half dog setscrew(think quill shaft anti rotation rotation groove) and another hard to find part - a 1/2" x 42" sanding belt.

So that met the $30 minimum order requirement and I went ahead and placed an order. No problems with the web site this time.

So order was placed after closing business hours on Feb 20.

Today (Feb 24) I got an e-mail saying my order was out for delivery by UPS. Did not expect such timely results!!!!

I presume that is a welcome indication of what we can expect in the future. I feel I must mention that the openess re parts availability has eliminated the dreaded back order glitch.

Bottom line - things have changed for the better and I assume time will minimize the out of stock occurances.
