1955 Mark V in Minnesota

Post by davepk13 »

I am looking someone qualified in Minnesota to help me properly maintain this machine. I have used it very sparingly and it works great, but it seems to not spin to a smooth stop after running the saw blade. It seems to stop as though something needs lubrication. I would love to spend the time doing this myself, but would prefer to pay someone to do it at least this first time. Please let me know of anyone in Minnesota willing and able to do this.
Thank you,

Dave

It would take less than 5 minutes to lube it.
Check out this sawdust session.

Dave,
If you have the urge and time, you can easily do the work yourself? With this forum, along with the "Sawdust Sessions" videos at ShopSmith.com, you have all you need. Up until a month ago, I never set hands on one and right now, I am 75% complete on a total restoration.

p.s. I'm in San Diego but pick up my airfare and I'd love to visit Minnesocold. Being a New Englander, I miss the snow!!
