Embedded Links

Post by dusty »

mickyd, please tell me how you create an embedded link like the one you used in a recent thread.

Click here to get to the thread.

It doesn't work here, obviously because I relocated it in a way that disabled the link but I hope it conveyed my question.

PS Well, it didn't work when I first tried it, but it seems to work now. Now all I need to do is learn how to create it.

Actually, it does work Dusty, at least it did for me (hold down the Control key when you click on the link). :) BUT, I too, am interested in how to successfully do it. I have tried, and got it to work and then later it "broke".

Hello world, the link.

Type the text (Hello world), highlight it, click the click the globe with the link on it (just below the smiley face. Type or paste in your link. That is about it.

Looks like you have it! Now we have to hope someone doesn't do something like this:

http://www.shopsmith.com

See how this is not always what it seems?

Hey! That works great! Thank you Ed! Say, why did you use your name as a link to Dusty's public Profile?

The Ed to Dusty was to show an example of what I showed in post 5 but I figured most people wouldn't click the Ed link and thus miss out on the example.... Somehow it didn't surprise me that you found it.
