No, there is no commission involved and I am not contemplating buying one. Just incredibly curious.

Ed in Tampa may beat you to it though. I see they were just at a show in Tampa (March 23-25).
Actually the show was a week earlier. I saw the Dubby demo but didn't stop. I had talked to Jerry about 4 or 5 years ago about the dubby and was quite impressed, at that time they were making Dubbys for SS. I know Jerry business is an almost one man show so I would suspect either Jerry hasn't been asked about SS lately or one of his relatives which I think get pressed into service didn't keep the website updated.

Jerry implied that SS orders were rare on the Dubby. I talked to Jerry about how he insured the blade to Dubby was always the same set up and he suggested a wood block that was partially cut so you could slip it over the blade and move the table to exact spot the dubby was at the last time.

A replacable cut strip seems like a better plan, therefore I think the Appalachian seems better suited to the SS since it has a replacable cut slot piece.

[quote="a1gutterman"]Hi Rick,
Thank you for reporting what you found out. In your earlier report, You just said "...He told me that they are not making the Dubby for SS or other smaller saws with smaller tables...". You did knot mention that this "Jerry" was the owner, nor that "...he said, that he wasn't sure if they had any left." I am sorry for the misunderstanding, but...I did suggest two choices, an either/or situation, and it turns out that one of them is right. :)

Dusty, I just looked at my calendar, and unfortunately, I am involved each of those days]

All much, much more important than satisfying my curiousity. I wouldn't buy one anyhow. Might take it if it was offered for free but I'd rather build one myself.

Thanks for considering the possibility though, Tim.
