Anyone know what bearing is used for the Shopsmith Mark V Emerson 1-1/8hp motor?

SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

Good Question but I can not give an answer. My Mark V is only eighteen years old so I have had no reason to look. However, I'll be watching for the answer.

Having said that - are ALL 1 1/8 hp Emerson Mark V motors built the same? I would be a bit skeptical.:confused:

They are probably double shielded bearings. This would be an easy repair for an electric motor repair shop.
