I just became the owner of a RARE SHOPSMITH PIN ROUTER OVERARM MARK V 505806 TABLE. Got it from E-Bay.
Great unit and looking forward to using it in my business of Inlaid wood products.
I am missing the pins. I called Shop Smith and they say they don't have the part. Any suggestions or anyone have extra pins they want to sell.

Welcome to the forum.
I found a bolt that fit the hole and had the right thread pattern. took it to a machinist and had him turn and thread different sizes matching the bits I was likely to use. If I remember correctly, they were 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4.

First let me add my welcome to the group.
I know there were several old OPR table variations over the years. The pins for my OPR's table have a 10-32 male thread and came in the sizes Pkni mentioned. I was able to buy the pins from SS back in May 2007 and two of the three sizes are currently listed as being available on the SS web site.
Does your table take a different type of pin? or a different thread? Please let us know a little more about your table's pins.
I know this group can come up with several more ideas to solve the missing pin problem.
As an aside to the owners of the "new" OPR; what type of pin is used on the new table? Maybe something can be adapted by us "oldtimers"?

If you have the old wood table then good luck finding the the parts... I tried and failed. The pin block was designed for 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" pins and a 1/4" starter pin. In fact I have never actually seen what the pins look like... so if anyone has some please could you take a picture for us???
If you have any of the tables that have the router inserts then you are in luck in that the newest version of the machine uses the same pins and you can order them from shopsmith. (Of course this is pending if they are in stock or not...).
Love to see some pictures of your machine...

I have the old one with the stand. Plastic covered MDF table with a lot of holes in it. Heavy duty mechanism to raise and lower the router. A real nice piece.

That is the one I just bought. However the pin receiver in the table is not threaded! It is a 1981 vintage.
I can always thread them (1/4" and 1/2") I guess. I called Shop Smith and they said if the old part number didn’t roll over to the new part number, they don't carry it anymore. I also got the manual and original bill if sale!
I'm in the process of dickering with a guy back east for a Rockwell/Delta commercial unit. I used one of these in my old business and need another one badly!
