Hi,
I do not yet have a ShopSmith but see an ad for a Mark V with a model number of 505644 and a serial number of 1463. Asking is $500. Is this an ancient model ? Are there still parts for this or should I continue to look? Any advice welcome.

It looks like it may be from 1973 to 1978. And YES there are parts and SPT's for it. There are people here that have ones that are approaching 50 years.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.
