Cutting Hexagonal Legs

I'm working on a project (table) that requires hexagonal legs, cut from 2x2 lumber. I made the same table 30 years ago and it turned out beautifully. However, now I can't figure out how to cut the hexagonal legs for the life of me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Tilt the table 30°. Set the fence so the edge of the saw cut is at the middle of the 2x2 (3/4" out from the fence). Two passes on one face(rotate the workpiece end to end so as to produce the point at the bottom of the workpiece). and 2 passes on the opposite face should produce a hex shaped 'leg' which is 1 1/2' across the 'flats'.

A way, maybe not the best way.

Maintain workpiece flat against the fence during the second cut on each face.
