traveling ss classes
just found out from ss customer services that there is no instructors for the midwest or the east coast. only in the west coast area. have no clue when they will resume. my july classes were canceled till futher notice. (no mention of refund on costs of booking classes). with all the talk of lay-offs makes me wonder of the vyability of ss. made sizable investment in ss. i know the quality of my ss equipment is second to none. hope for the best for ss. thanks papahammer8

SS does not charge your credit card until you actually attend; therefore, there will not be a refund as you have not yet been charged.

Shopsmith reduced their force, they didn't initiate a plan to shut down and go away. If fact, they are doing just the opposite - they are working to get themselves in shape (financially) for the long haul.
They haven't said so but I'd bet that the Traveling Academy is a very expensive part of their business and I would be surprised if it pays
for itself (I'd bet they run in the red). Therefore, it has been temporarily cutback to reduce expenses until Shopsmith is once again financially stable.
User training won't go away. Shopsmith will find a way to keep us all trained.
You will be able to count on that Shopsmith for a long time.
All of this is: In My Humble Opinion
