I bought one of these (see link) recently at a yard sale. It is a Veritas tool rest and sharpening jig. It was missing the little plastic angle gauge but I have other angle gauges. It has never been used or even mounted to a bench. Not a mark on it anywhere. I saw it across a table of stuff and went over to see the price. When I saw the $8 tag I didn't put it back down.
The kind of funny thing was that there were no other tools in the sale and there were no tools in the garage. It was definitely not a DIY location.
I believe I will be able to put it to good use.
