Yes Sir I am feeling better and even sleeping better. Yesterday I welded a support for a shelf that I mounted under the front of the 50th Anniversary 520. It felt good to place a few tools under there.
According to the PT I am still over three weeks from making sawdust. I wish you could have seen her face when I asked if it was okay if I made some sawdust. Truly there have never been any woodworkers in her life. I hope to turn a bat tomorrow for use when I fish for salmon. I know I am pushing the envelope a bit. I have always turned pretty much one handed so should not be a problem. If it get sore or I find I use the right hand and arm I will quit. The shoulder still gets a bit sore by evening. Way to go Jim! Just explain to 'Her' that turning IS PT. You can always make 'Her' a small bat (signed, of course) and tell her it is for use on really stubborn patients.

I looked for Zoom (Spout) Oiler for several months. I searched then and now for it on the ownersite but it cannot be found. I finally found it at ACE affiliated hardware stores. RON309753 is right, Shopsmith did have a part number for it, probably still do, BUT I CAN"T FIND IT ON_LINE. You'll have to request it through customer service.
The keyword search needs to be improved so that Shopsmith can gets some results from: WORKING HARD TO BE YOUR LIFETIME WOODWORKING PARTNER!

Try Shopsmith Part Number 517429. This oiler is also part of the Help Kit.
It was easy to find. Did a search for oil.

Neat idea except for one small point. Given that we live in a society where many folks refuse to accept personal responsibility; first time she used it on someone, they read my name on it and I would be sued because I provided the weapon and instructed how to use it.

My bride suggested I take the bat with me to PT today and show her just how far I deviated from limitations. The therapist fell in love with it. She liked the signature and the proportions and finish on the bat. I was actually growing a bit concerned if I may lose the bat to her:rolleyes: fjimp
