I bought router bits from them on Ebay maybe a year ago. I don't recall the ID they were using then but I don''t believe it was Shopsmith Inc.
Here is hoping that their position is strengthening. At least when you see Shopsmith Inc. you know that you are bidding on an item you can trust instead of "a pig in a poke".

Do we know for a fact that this is Shopsmith and not just someone that has highjacked the name? It says Dayton OH, but you can list your address anyway you want when you set up an ebay account.

Major Bob,
A little paranoid aren't we? I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to try hi-jacking the Shopsmith name. Even if they did, I don't think they would last very long after SS got through with them in court.

I think major_bob had a good question. "Would anyone be stupid enough to....."....fill in the blank and the answer is YES. Some people are stupid enough to do anything. Have you read the news lately??

At least THEY did not dry their poodle after a bath in the microwave!

There is NO doubt in my mind that IF Someone other than SS, Inc. tried to use that 'name' the lawyers would be all over e-bay and the 'seller'. They are the same 'seller' as in 2006. That gives it credibility IMHO. :)

There have been several ebay names that appear to be SS using ebay to move excess merchandise. When the number get high the name changes. This is probably the same as what we are seeing here. I bid on several items before feeling I was bidding on excess items from them. Really happy to try and purchase something to keep them going. Right now I cannot afford a big investment but hoping on those items later.
My 2 cents.
Bill :)
