EXCELLENT!

First thought in my brain is REVERSE TURNING a bowl on the lathe!
Electronic speed control AND reversable!!

I'm gettin' in line now... (where'd I put that sleeping bag?):D

oh boy oh boy.
I hope the speed change is in both directions 100 rpm for burl turning would be wonderful would not need a speed reducer attachment.

Now we have to wait for a performance spec sheet to come out. Maybe Shopsmith will have mercy and release it to the forum soon.

At last a Shopsmith that you don't have to worry about some fool walking in your shop and and grabbing the speed crank and damaging something. I can't believe how many people want to turn that dial... :eek:

I did not equip with Shopsmiths in spite of the setups but because of them.
