New owner of an ER Model
I have just purchased at auction a Shopsmith ER model Serial Number ER41130. I would like to know where I might find an owners manual and parts list for it. I am very excited to get this. The guy who owned this died 15 years ago, and it has been stored in his basement. I plugged it in and it worked. A couple of things were stuck but I have everything free at the moment. I would appreciate any help and comments. I am not sure how to post a picture on this forum. When I figure that out I will post it.
Thank you!
Bill

Congrats on your new ER purchase. There are two places that I know of that you can get loads of ER info, including manuals.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Shopsmith10ERusers/
You have to be a member to get to the library. That could be a couple days since you have to wait for the moderator to approve you.
If you have a google mail account, you can log in to:
user: 10erusers
password: castiron
You can get just about all the docs that you'd get at the yahoo site AND there is no wait for membership approval.
Good luck and hope you enjoy your new find.

Joe,
Thanks! Yes a few miles east, about 3 hours worth. I am in the Southeast Corner. I used to live in Wichita actually in Goddard. I worked at the TG&Y store on Tyler Road.
Bob,
You are close to me. I have a daughter living in Joplin. I ate German food a few miles North of you Friday night.
I hope to get this thing up and going and learn how to use it. It really is a tight squeeze getting it into my shop.

Bob keep look on Craig's list in KC. I have picked up 4 or 5 up there with speedchangers and extreas for Close to $100 or less. Going up there to pick up one this week. Have found some there without speed changers for $50.00. So is a good place to pick them. Up. Really is a neat machine to add to your shop. I also haved a brownie and a 510. Really looking forward to see SS's new headstock coming out.
