Where in this WORLD do you live?

Post by mickyd »

A great google map has been started by member dachsieslave that lets you indicate where in this WORLD you live.

You need to have a free google account and be logged in in order to add your info to the map.

If your a seasoned google map person and already know how to add your info, just go here

If you need instruction, go to post #14 of this threadfirst.

Both JPG and I have created independent threads linking to the same google map. I'll apologize now for JPG since he probably either didn't care OR wasn't aware that somebody else had the foresight over 24hrs before him!!!! :D

C'mon Wisconsin.....

Got it done. Pretty straightforward, though I couldn't load my own pointer icon.

Can't believe I'm the only one in Wisconsin with one of these. Oops!!! It'll be two by tonight. Lessee...that's Mickyd's fault. He gave me the disease with all his eye candy restorations. :p

It was just pointed out to me that my pin has been moved to the Four Corners area. Don't know how that happened:confused:  !!

Also, The map no longer has the name Shopsmith. It carries the name of one of our forum members.

..........I may have zigged instead of zagged. Stand by.

I dragged a pointer (not my own) this afternoon by accident. Didn't change the map name.

I changed Mark 510 to shopsmith forum users location. I also moved you back to ne of LA. You might want to locate it more precisely.

BTW Woodburner moved you. I am sure it was accidental!

This map is filling up nicely. Hopefully more will participate. Hard to believe we only have 2 folks outside of contiguous United States. (Almost used continental USA vs. contiguous but Alaska is considered part of continental USA)
