Micro-adjuster

Post by wlhayesmfs »

Got the add for this item today and watched Nick using it. Looked like it could be a valuable addition to my 510. Does anyone have one of these and if you do what do you think of it? I really don't do too much very detailed work but have had trouble making adjustment in the 1/16 to 1/8 difference.
Thanks
Bill :)

Bill,
I have two and when cutting dado's it is a must for me. I use the second one on my extention table so I can quickly have both the main and extention reset to level with each other. Just my 2 cents. I don't use it that often but when I do I love having them. Oh there is a drawback. I does limit on how low you can adjust the main table. For instance when I want to use the sanding disk I have to remove the collor stop in order to get the main table lowered to center of the disk.

Funny thing is, I ordered one last time they had them on sale (5/20/09), was on B/O and still haven't received it, and now they've got it on sale again... guess they're trying to build up enough sales for a minimum purchase order.

Have you checked with them lately? Maybe they no longer have your order?

I use mine quite often - very easy to make minor adjustments for dado etc.

Tim, checked with them today... The micro-adjuster was part of an order with another item which is still on back-order, and they said it was such a low-dollar item for shipping, that they had waited until the other item came in stock. The part I'm still waiting on is the Sander-Shaper fence.

While I was on the phone, I placed an order for the Rip Scale Upgrade kit, which is currently on sale, and wouldn't you know it, she said they had just sold the last one in stock and I would be number 1 on back-order... (just my luck).

On a positive note, I did get confirmation that the Strip Sander Chisel Sharpening Attachment which has been on back order since February is supposed to ship this week...
