Blade Gone Bad??

I want to thank all of you. I don't believe I would have come to that realization for a long time. I probably won't get everything pulled out today (maybe not tomorrow) but before the weekend is over it is a must.

I'll let you know, when I am through, just how bad the saw dust really is. Guess I better check out the broom while I am at it. I may be using that more than expected.

I'd like to see both the "keeper" piece and waste to make sure but...

After looking at the cut I can say it sure looks like what happens when the rip fence is not parallel with the blade. I can also say that some of the other ideas such as a loose blade, arbor, quill, headstock, carriage, and or rip fence are also possible.

And also as mentioned the splitter would also do this and since you have been playing with dust collection it could be that something is forcing the splitter out of alignment. It maybe even be forcing the whole lower guard to sit differently.

I have not seen this happening but then I have not attempted to do some of the things you have done. It was one of the things I was worried about when I did the upper guard modification and one of the things that still bothers me about that.

(The reason I say this about the cut is that when I cut with my circular saw trying to follow a line without the use of a straight edge I will see several areas along the way with that same pattern. This is where I'm attempting an adjustment to get back on the straight line...)
