Quoting Others Posts

Post by dusty »

When I want to quote something that someone else has posted, should I be able to simply highlight the text intended to be quoted and then paste it into my post?

What I have been doing is simply selecting
"Quote" on the post that contains the text I intend to quote and delete the text that might not be wanted in the quote. Is this what everyone does?

Hi,

When I want to "When I want to quote something that someone else has posted" I select it with my mouse and "copy" it then when I'm doing my post when I just get to the point I want to insert it I just use "paste".

When I want all of the text then I use the "quote" feature or let's say almost all of it, then it is faster that way.

All just in what you want to do and how you think it is easier to do.

I copy the text, go the reply window and click the 'quote' icon (the one that looks like a cartoon bubble), then paste the text at the cursor.
