Truck Hauler Puzzle

Post by wlhayesmfs »

Sometime back I made a car hauler truck that the trailer was a jigsaw puzzle of three cars that fit together then on the truck. I made them for my grand sons and now I cannot find the plans for them. I copied them from probable Wood mag but not sure. any one see plans like this and if so where did I find them. Probably in a stack of wood mags somewhere in the shop.
Thanks
Bill :)

I remember this toy truck on SSUG.

Perhaps there is enough info in the pics to make up your own plans...

Wood magazine? I made some for sons and nephews. You made the trailer and 3 cars by cutting them out of a piece of 2x4? The wheels on the cars held them in position if I remember right. That would of been maybe a December issue from 84-85 maybe.

Al, that is the exact truck, now to find it. Duane, I will check the mag around that time to see if I can find it. I was thinking it was in Wood or one of the yearly SS project books.
Thanks again I could not even find my pictures of it.

Is that the correct name for it? Truck Hauler puzzle? I did an internet search for it and found nothing.

Found it in the archives (box labled old Wood Mags), Nov-Dec 1984 issue, long-haul transport, pg 81. If you can't find it, PM me.

My files don't go back quite that far.

Maybe I'll be lucky and they did a reprint a century later.;)

FWIW - this is issue #2 of the Wood Magazine. My collection starts about 2 1/2 years later. I thought I had them all.
