Goldie Question
I currently have a goldie with a gold jigsaw, belt sander and jointer. I can pick up a newer 1980's model in good shape with a jointer and jigsaw for a couple of hundred bucks. I am not really a collector, use my shopsmith frequently, and only have room for one shopsmith. Does it make sense to pick up the newer one and sell off my goldie and attachments or should I just stick with the goldie? Do goldies and goldie attachments have any more value than gray attachments? My stuff is in pretty good shape and I am wondering if I can upgrade while getting the goldie stuff in the hands of a collector. Thanks in advance.....BB

IMHO the only thing that matters is the condition(mechanical). For all intents and purposes, they are the same. (I assume it is a '500')
Mark V + jointer + jig saw for $200 . . . . . WHERE???;)
