I just (2 hours ago) purchased a wireless "N" router with a 500 gigabyte hard drive for around $250. Now every computer in my house automatically backs up to this remote drive on a daily basis.

I have lose too many irreplaceable digital photos in the past. Even with DVD backup people just don't do it frequently enough.
