A table saw that CANNOT cut your finger off - Sawstop
This isn't a ShopSmith product but maybe someday they will incorporate the design concept.

And this one shows that you don't get something for nothing. (I'm referencing the damage)
It also shows a guy stick his finger into the rotating blade. That is trust!!!!!! You gotta watch it.

There are others; about 15 threads have posts that mention that safety feature on these forums. It is something, but I think we can over safetify (just made that up) anything for a price. I trust myself better then I am willing to pay for that.

Yes, well, you have to have balance. My pocket book says to balance it; therefore, the Sawstop will have to wait...a very long time.mickyd wrote:Newness is in the eye of the beholder. And you trusting yourself better.....why do you think they call it "accident"??

Yes, the doctors will have to work for less and the tax payer will have to pay more. Sounds like socialism to me. Less incentive for the doctor, more government control. I am glad you started this thread and redirected it. I just hate being accused of hi-jacking threads.mickyd wrote:The doctor bill would probably be cheaper!!! But you better wait until the new health plan goes into effect since the doctors are going to have to work for less money.

Anyone can hijack any thread I start. If it gets to the point where it bugs me, I'll chime in real quick.a1gutterman wrote:Yes, the doctors will have to work for less and the tax payer will have to pay more. Sounds like socialism to me. Hey, no picking on the government. Look at all the successes they've had so far successfully running public programs without incurring any additional debt such as like social security, USPostal, medicare, border control, FEMA, etc., etc., etc.

Good point! Make sure and tell your law makers how much you trust them with new programming. I will be doing my part to replace my representatives that support this new programming!mickyd wrote:Anyone can hijack any thread I start. If it gets to the point where it bugs me, I'll chime in real quick.
