Potpoutrri starting 27 Dec 09.
I hope every one got what they wanted for Christmas. I got some new chisels (they came before Christmas). I asked for some pen kits and wood. I didn't get either one. Maybe that is better I pick it out myself. Well everyone have a Happy New Year and will talk to you next year.. Last weeks potpourri. https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?t=4795
I see said the blindman, to his deaf wife, as he picked up his hammer and saw.

My lovely Bride
managed to get a nice Kreg pocket screw jig for me. She actually found it on her own, did some checking and thought I would like it. She did well!
I managed to get her present late, so I will be doing the project this spring and have it for next Christmas. It was to be a nice nativity scene for this year:o ( I actually filled out all of the order on line and forgot to "Send".)
Number 2 son managed to harvest a huge cow elk, so we spent several days cutting and wrapping. We had all but one of our kids at home for Christmas eve. He will return to school and student teaching this semester.
I had to put a gift for the new grand daughter on hold due to cold weather, but since she will not be walking for 3-4 months, I have time to get the chair done. The other has not been born yet, so I have some time there.
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW YEAR!!

I think I received what I wanted the most....everyone else truly enjoyed their gifts, and we had all 8 children and most of the grandchildren together at one time. It was a classic Christmas.
As for my gift, I received a new video camera, about the size of a credit card, holding 2 hours of HD video. I reminded everyone of our first VHS recorder, my dads, with a battery pack the size of a backpack, plus additional batteries on a weight belt, the recorder the size of a turntable, and the camera requiring a shoulder mount. Spent the day today with my youngest son, 22yrs, who gave me lessons on transferring the video to the computer in a format acceptable to making DVD's for the family. It's a steep learning curve.
Happy New Years to all.

Here is my gift:

A nice 27" iMac! (2.8 GHz Quad Core, 8 GB RAM) And no she does not exhibit any of the flaws making the rounds on the internet.
She sure is purdy!
The resolution is a whopping 2560 x 1440, it sure makes for a sharp display, but fonts can be real tiny.
The LOML got a bunch of girly cloths (that seems to make her happy). Somehow clothing is NOT my idea of a Christmas gift.
