First scroll saw art Prodject

Post by cv3 »

I am some what new to scroll saw work. I got a 3yr old De Walt scroll saw from a friend about 6 months ago. So far I really like the saw. It is easy to work with. I have been recovering from getting a new hip so I had not been in the shop much until a month ago. I got a Scroll saw book with south west patterns for Xmas. This is my first attempt at scroll saw art, it is mahogany on walnut.

Very nice work. I have tried the scroll saw off and on but haven't\
gotten to that level.

Nice combination of woods, great work. It really is easy to catch the scrollsaw bug during recovery, since there is no heavy lifting and you can find a good stool for support.
I always enjoy seeing the work of others, so keep on posting.

Note: I just ordered 1/4" baltic ply from Rocklers, today is last day for free shipping with a special price. Makes good backing for projects.

Nice looking results for a first project. Can't really say much more other than suspect that there are many more to come.
