There are 13 hammered paint colors still in production. I don't know what / who ultimately determines which colors they stock but if the colors aren't on the shelf, have them get a case (6) special ordered from the Rustoleum rep. Or, $12/can from Amazon.....

Looked on my closeby chain hdwre(Do It Best) web site. No Verde Green. Others were there. I did not count them or ascertain all that were there. Gold and Copper were(Goldie colors).

I am in the garden bizz but pull stock from a large Hardware wholesaler. I asked the sales rep to look if the green was available or discontinued. I will let you know what I find out.

It has been my experience that when a retailer tells me that an item has been discontinued, what it really means is the retailer has discontinued stocking it. Get it from the horses mouth:
mickyd wrote:I just received an email response from Rustoleum regarding the future availability of the Verde Green Hammered spray paint. All it did was provide the telephone number for product support (1-800-323-3584) so I called. The rep I spoke to indicated that the paint is still being manufactured and there was no indication that it was going to be discontinued. FYI.

For those having difficulty locating the color, I'd suggested calling the product support number.

Call the number!

mickyd wrote:You got me paranoid. Even though I've heard that Rustoleum would discontinue Verde Green, it just didn't hit me until I realized that I still have a Greenie awaiting restoration along with a joiner so I went down and cleaned out my local Home Depot. $6.49 per can. I asked if they were going to reorder and the guy said yes. But then, the new breed of HD guys say a lot of stuff with NO CLUE what their saying. Time will tell. He said the Rustoleum rep comes in to inventory and reorder weekly. I'll know in 2 weeks if they replenish.

Verde Green availability update - Went to my local Home Depot last night and swung by the paint section to see if they reordered and received any Verde Green spray cans since I cleaned them out Christmas eve. Low and behold, the shelf spot WAS refilled with 9 cans (full row) and the guy said that they showed 3 more in stock. So, that accounts for 2 cases of 6 that they would have reordered.

I guess San Diego is just a special kind of place for Verde Green. Must be the green ocean. This shows that it CAN be ordered through Rustoleum distributors. Even if your place doesn't stock it, pay for and have them order a case of 6. It will run about $40 *(~$6.50 / can). Since it takes about 5 cans to double coat a Greenie with accessories, you'll have 1 can left over for touch ups.

I have not heard back from the sales rep yet. If I ordered from him I would have to buy a 6 pack case. I only would need a can or two. to restore a jig saw.
Wonder if a person needed a can if Home Depot would transfer it from the left coast to the right. May be worth a try.
