This is just off the bench, a 12”x 12” x 2” mahogany block tung oil finish.

You are without a doubt a master carver CV. Beautiful work!!! Thanks for sharing. I'd like to try it some day.

This one was one of those I have worked on and off on. I have been working on it sense Aug. But I would say I have around 30 or so hours to this point.

Absolutely beautiful:) What a fine craftsman you are ! Do you draw what you envision on the wood first, or is it all free hand ?

Both, I am not an artist. I can not draw well at all. I draw out the outline location of eyes and other detail with a sharpie or chalk. It is not as hard as it seems. Once you learn some of the basics it is a matter of practice. The first year or so I was carving my loved ones would say that’s nice. What is it !!!!

You certainly are an artist :) I have seen your work through out the forum and it is wonderful:)
