Cradle for my first grandchild

I have finished building a cradle for my first grandchild which I don't know the sex of yet. Its made of curly cherry and the plans came from a Hands On (Jan, Feb, March 1986) magazine. The mattress size for it is 15" x 33".

Great looking job, I like the shape and looks. I have seven daughters and I have built one for each of them for their first child. Right now I have built 4. I am making more of a crib size and they can use it for most of the first year.

That is really nice. I really like the stile too. It is always special to build something for our kids and grandkids.

Very nice. What type of finish did you put on it? Did you use a lathe duplicater for the stiles (rocker things)?
