arts and crafts lamp reproduction

this one of my projects,, a reproduction of a arts and crafts lamp,,i added the knob on thp witha three wayswitch,,,,the wood is quartersawn english brown oak,,, finish is just shealac for now,, indianabob , grower of fine weeds and a few hostas

Nice work!! Did you copy an existing lamp or work from a plan? ( Or I guess you could have followed a plan drawn from an existing lamp:) )

Interesting lamp; it looks medieval. Where do you use a lamp like that? Nightstand? End table? Desk?
