Doug-
thanks for turning me onto the easy out. I had only ever seen the grabits. I ended up getting a set from sears and they did work on the three I had stripped.

I also discovered that I stopped stripping the Allen screws when I put down the Shopsmith 5/32 Allen key and switched to the bit that came with my socket set. The Allen wrench that ships with shopsmith was bending to much. This caused the tool to twist and get skewed in the head and then pop out. Using the 1/4" adapter and the 5/32" bit delivered the torque I needed to get the remaining 21 out without drilling them out.

Bill- thanks for the offer. I picked one up on eBay with knives so I am probably in good shape.

Thanks for the great and timely advice.
Just remember - It's all tool setup.

The ss tool kit can get worn. When needing to apply greater torque, a non-worn wrench works better(as you 'discovered'). It is quite easy to mis-align the long wrenches due to their length.

Glad ya gottit done!!!!!!
