Nice work space. I'd love to have a dedicated shop.

[quote="JPG40504"]Speaking of which, I am wondering why they are not reversed(strip on left, belt on right).
The strip sander is driven from the right only, but the belt sander can be driven from either side.]I have mine mounted on the right side also. If you are sharpening chisels with the SS strip sander sharpening attachment, the strip sander should be mounted on the quill end.

Ahh yes, however, it is not mounted that way! ???SDSSmith wrote:I have mine mounted on the right side also. If you are sharpening chisels with the SS strip sander sharpening attachment, the strip sander should be mounted on the quill end.

It appears more like the mistystarz's strip sander is being stored in that position. The point I made was the strip sander operating position, right power mount vs. left power mount, varies depending upon the task at hand.JPG40504 wrote:Ahh yes, however, it is not mounted that way! ???

I initially thought re 'reverse sharpening' but since the chisel holder was not apparent nor the shaft point towards the quill I abandoned that thought and raised the question more as a thought producer for the proud new owner of all this fantastic stuff.SDSSmith wrote:It appears more like the mistystarz's strip sander is being stored in that position. I think you are correct that it was merely being 'stored' there when the pix was taken.! After all, she is just getting things set up!

I'm jealous
Misty,
Great job of storage and layout. Plenty of work room. Wish I had that much room. Way to go.
