I have an opportunity to buy a Speedaire compressor for $200. I am wondering if it would be satisfactory for sand/media blasting. I plan to use it for rust and paint removal. My research online has led me to believe it is. But I'd like real-world opinions. If you have experience with this operation, I'd appreciate your feedback. Here are the specs:
Speedair 3Z424E
2 HP
CFM 10.5
Free Air 6.2@100psi
RPM 750
30 Gal
Max work pressure 125 psi

Might get you by with a low end blaster. Check Harbor Freight blasters specs. Even a small one needs 6-8 CFM @ 90+ PSI. The speedair you spec'd would not be able to maintain the required air volume. You would be constantly waiting for the compressor to catch up.retiredsoldier919 wrote:I have an opportunity to buy a Speedaire compressor for $200.
