I have a PC and I use foxfire and have a plug-in that I installed which lets you download videos from a lot of places but on the shopsmith ones it produces an error message. Other google video download just fine... from what I read they shopsmith can set some features on and off so I just guessed that they had turned off the download feature.

I have not gone back to the later ones to see if I can download them, I'll have to give it a try.

That is on my laptop and when I travel I sometimes don't have access to fast connects so I tend to like to download rather then watch jerky video. I'll check it out later and if it works I'll look up the plug in name... of course this could be a case of i-can do it and a pc can't. And I for one am tired of those apple users always getting those useful tools and US pc users not.

Mac User

Ed,

You raise a very good point. Mac users have had to create all sorts of work arounds to be able to communicate in the PC dominated world. Graphic Converter, Audio Hijack, Handbrake etc. are all creations based on a need to use PC only files at a Mac.

Recently, however, things are becoming more common. MS Office is by and large platform independent except the new Vista version which is creating problems within the PC community. You can download a translator for that if you want to read a 2007 version on an XP platform.

And on and on......

I used to have a mac and a pc now just a pc. I found that for the mac it was expensive and hard to find software. Now at my work they have macs with duel platform. This seems like a good way for mac users to survive in a windows world. The people (steve jobs) at apple are very talented at what they do and have a great product. But it like other things have there limits.

Compound Cuts Session #3

Post by jlevin01 »

I had no problem viewing the Overarm Router segment. However, I did have problems with the Compound Cuts segment. The session stopped multiple times and reset a couple of times.

Please keep cranking the sawdust sessions out. They are terrific!:)
