Teknatool Chuck on Sale Again -

Post by tgiro »

Woodcraft is having another sale on the Teknatool SuperNova2 chuck ($119). Pretty good price.

Yes they are made in China, but I have one of these and it works very well.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't get their email... kind of afraid of that since I was attempting to get them to change where they sending them... now they are not coming at all.

I'm almost tempted to get one, I like the fact they added the back plate and the 24 holes for indexing and it would fit all the jaws I have for my G3....

I'm trying to convince the wife I need a new camera but if that doesn't work I might settle for one of these.... well if that works I might actually get one.

I'm all set to buy one but it seems the 5/8" plain insert (that is the one I want, right?) is backordered until May. By that time I will be gone and shipping it to Canada would probably create problems, not the least of which is I don't get to use it until next fall. Does anyone know another source for an insert that will accomplish the task. My assumption (always risky, I know) is that the actual teknatool one is backordered everywhere but is there something else that will work?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Any Woodcraft can check for availability at all other Woodcraft stores. You may have to pay for shipping it to that store (or to you). The online inventory is often out-of-date, but a few phone calls to check store specifics will often be successful.

Also Pennstate carries the adaptor you will need and ships pretty fast. That is where I got my adaptor and chuck was from Woodcraft.
