Sharpening stones
I have three Japanese type water stones that I believe came with the Shopsmith in the late 1980s. They have gotten a lot of use over the years and have hollows worn in the middle. Can they be reconditioned or can I find unused ones for sale anywhere (the same type)?

Dave waterstones should be flattened on a regular basis. I actually flatten mine after each use. If they are as bad as you say I would start lapping them on 80 grit paper and move up the grit chain. 1000 grit waterstones should be finished on no coarser than 220 grit wet and dry paper. 4000 and 8000 stones I finish on 400 grit wet and dry. Use plenty of water on the paper.

YES they can be flattened. WoodCraft has what ya need. I've also heard that you can use a concrete block top to flatten em.
