Lathe Tool Rest

Post by vzandt »

I have a Mark V 500. I just got a 510 carraige and table. Now I find that my lathe tool rest post will not seem to fit the 510 carraige. Is this normal? Other than the post, can I use the old tool rest? I notice two versions of the tool rest upgrade. One for the 500 and one for everything else. There seems to be some difference with the arm. In the parts catalog, I only see 1 post and 1 arm listed. Anyone have a spare 510 tool rest post floating around?

Since the hole is further away, the arm needs to be longer.
