What new stuff do you have?
Thought I'd create a thread were we can post new toys / things / tools etc. we get.
Past couple weeks has been like Christmas come early. Started out with free cabinets from a remodel job at my company. Installed them in the workshop.

Couldn't resist the $129.99 HF bench.

Then, for the first time in many months, I broke down and went onto craigslist. I've been avoiding it like the plague since I was trying to subdue my SS addiction. Endout out finding a Pro Planer for $150.

OK guys I cannot believe today, Was taking the wife shopping for a used piece of furniture and we drove by the ReTool store that sells used tools. Car just turned into the lot. Last time I was there they had an old SS air compressor I was going to see if it was still there and see if I could get it cheap just to have it.
Well turned the corner and ran right into a 50th anniversary 520 fully loaded. Could not see all the extras, four boxes of extras and a Jointech complete. Looked at the price and it said $898. I asked the guy was that just for the machine or all of it. Well it was for all of it. My wife said she thought I was going to have a heart attack and start drooling right there. Started going through the boxes and found complete router table and extras, complete mortising set up and all the bits two SPT stands for storage. All the books, sharpening jig, Drum sander and disks, tenon master, cross cut table, even extras I have never really see just heard about and the wild thing was most of it has never been opened. I am working on a list of everything that came with it and going to go through and service it since I was told it has been setting for a couple of years. Runs through the speeds just fine just needs to cleaning inside and waxing.
Here are a few pictures of the stash.

Wow, Bill! That's a once-in-a-lifetime find right there!
I picked up this Rockwell/Delta 6" jointer a few weeks ago for $50. Born in 1953 based on the serial number. It's a good bit longer than my 60's Craftsman jointer and the tables are flat and smooth (unlike my Craftsman) and the fence is straight (also unlike my Craftsman).

Well Bill, you got your compressor...........WOW. Nice pick up. I am curious about the item (believe it is from Jointech) to the left of the Jointech feather boards shown in the first and second pics.wlhayesmfs wrote:OK guys I cannot believe today, Was taking the wife shopping for a used piece of furniture and we drove by the ReTool store that sells used tools. Wow Bill,
I have heard of that place but never thought to stop in. That was a great find. Now what? Betcha you can really start makin sawdust now. I would be curious to hear about the jointech when you get a chance to use it. By the way not sure if you know I got a part time at Target in Owasso. Not much money but it is a start. Unemployment turned me down so I was kinda hurtin for some cash, that is why we never got together.

Bill congratulations I know of no one who deserve this find more than you. Especially after the number of old SS's you have returned to life. Congratulations. I am jealous until we are moved I am not allowed near anything that consumes dollars or space.wlhayesmfs wrote:OK guys I cannot believe today, Was taking the wife shopping for a used piece of furniture and we drove by the ReTool store that sells used tools.
