I believe it did. When I opened the link, the original screen flashed for a second and I saw the Buy IT Now price of $499 but then the screen changed and said the item was gone.JPG40504 wrote:Gone today. Tomorrow???

Explanation: The seller ended the listing early and cancelled all bids.
This is on the bidding page. I suspect that he was afraid of giving it away and bailed. That is supposed to be what minimum bids are about.

Just because it's against the rules doesn't mean they can't do it...dusty wrote:These last two posts tell me (indirectly) that I need to study the eBay rules some more.
I did not know that a seller could do this.

I think a seller may back out at any time NO bids have been made.dusty wrote:These last two posts tell me (indirectly) that I need to study the eBay rules some more.

The friendly sellers state when they are also selling 'locally' in their description.

I was tracking this one for myself. He only had 2 very low bids when pulled. This Shopsmith is now listed on Craig's List(http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/tls/1702760982.html) for $500. I believe he is dreaming as there are many cheaper and better condition Shopsmiths available in Florida.

Here Dusty, Hopefully this helps you understand the rules for the seller for ending an auction early.http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/end_early.htmldusty wrote:These last two posts tell me (indirectly) that I need to study the eBay rules some more.
