Please check your PM Inbox, I'm in desperate need of some parts!
Bill as I understand it has had back surgery and is still hospitalized. Give him a few weeks and I feel certain he will respond. Please do keep our good friend in your prayers. Fjimpted2 wrote:Please check your PM inbox again.

He is no longer hospitalized. He is at home but is still under doctors orders. Activity is still quit limited. Be patient. He is doing some email. If you have left a message, I am certain that he will get to it.fjimp wrote:Bill as I understand it has had back surgery and is still hospitalized. Back Surgery
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. It will take me several more weeks to read and respond to all my Emails. Let me know if I owe anyone any parts, instructions or completed work as I was quite drugged (pain) those last few weeks before the surgery.
Well, I got home from the hospital Friday evening from having lower back surgery. I am quite sore and hurting almost everywhere. I have a 2 piece chest/stomach barrel arrangement that I have to be strapped into before moving outside the house.
This was to have been a 2 day L3-L4 back surgery affair, in Monday morning and out Tuesday evening, but there was a serious problem. The removal of the disc pieces went well and side cut was glued back together OK. When in the process of inserting the cage arrangement to space the L4-L3 vertebrate, the assistant using a screwdriver slipped with it and the spinal cord sack was penetrated which then had to be repaired. I had to stay flat on my back from Monday morning until Friday evening to allow the spinal sack to heal. So far, no leakage is visual. I went back yesterday and had a ton of stitches removed (45 min. worth) and a new 18" long dressing installed.
It looks like it will be another five weeks before I am able to get outside, not even to my shop. I still have most of the numbness and pain that I had before the surgery.

Bill,
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
If they were working on my car that is one thing but we are talking the human body here? I know that when I had the 2 discs removed from my cervical spine (neck) I was terrified about the whole thing. As a matter of fact when they wheeled me out of the OR I got sick and they freaked out because I could have aspirated the vomit back into my lungs and that would have been very BAD! The nurse got really angry with me and said when did you eat last and in my groggy state I told her I followed the pre-op instructions to a Tee. I guess because of the stress and anxiety my body didn't digest any of what I ate the day before. I am very glad to hear that everything came out alright but sheesh slipping during back surgery isn't something that should be happening......period!This was to have been a 2 day L3-L4 back surgery affair, in Monday morning and out Tuesday evening, but there was a serious problem.
