I am with Farmer on remembering and honoring those that make this life for us what it is. During Nam I was 4 F but a lot of close friends went. I respect them for what they did for this country and also the men and women before and after them. They are the true hero's we need to be remember and honoring.

Holliday greetings to my fellow veterans. I did 7yrs active in the Army was lucky on the Nam trip by the time I got out of jungle training they started pulling out. Many gave everything for our freedom and they must not be forgotten. Please don't think of this holiday as a paid day off work make sure you remember us veterans.
Thank you
Thank you

And remember that Veteran's day is not about politics or religion. Veterans are men and women of all colors, faiths, and political ideologies. What they have in common is a service and sacrifice to their country that allows the rest of us to live out our dreams in the greatest nation the world has ever seen.kd6vpe wrote:Holliday greetings to my fellow veterans. Sometimes we disagree profoundly on what the best way to get there might be, but we are all in agreement on the goal: A land where our children and grandchildren can, with hard work and perseverance, live a life as good or better than those of us who went before them.

Hi,
I have workmate and several attachments and find it is used on most of my projects. Since at this point in time I have a driveway shop (for the more refined of you this is called woodworking el fresco).
You will find pictures showing it on many of the projects I posted here such as this one:

If I ever come across another one like the one I have at a garage sale it will be coming home with me.

I have as many as five workmates at a given time. One resides at my sons home in Tulsa, one resides at my daughters home. One is used as a table for an arm bike (I use this to attempt to build up an arm screwed up by a surgical procedure) The other two are used frequently in either the shop, garage or yard. They are almost has handy as the Zyliss Vise. Oh yes one often is used as a portable power tool stand. Jimreible wrote:Hi,

I got to thinking about when I got mine. Opened my files and found I have a Model 79-001 which I purchased new on 06/16/81. It will be 29 years old here in a few days!!!
Have to see if I can get the wife to bake a cake to help celebrate.

I have two work mates. The older one I got in 80 or 81. The other is only about 10 years old. I used the first as a carving bench and over all work bench for about 15 years tell I built my shop. If you just extend the back legs it makes a good adjustable angle bench to do relief carving on. The workmate is my second favored tool after the shopsmith.
Make today a day that lets you smile!
