500 to 520 alignment problem

Post by randythewoodchuck »

I received a 520 upgrade kit on Friday. Spent part of Sat and Sun doing the upgrade. Everything had gone smoothly until I checked the alignment of the extension table on the left (headrest) side. (The extension table does align properly on the right, or base, side.) The connector tube on the passenger side of the extension table does not align to that side of the main table. I've tried aligning the way tubes using the almost hidden screw underneith, which corrected it a bit, but not enough. The connector tube is still at least 3/8 inch too high on the passenger side. Does anyone have an idea of what I might do to get this into proper alignment?

Not sure if you got this upgrade new or used. But anyway, did you use the table alignment tools when assembling the rails to the tables. I didn't initially (cause I didn't know what they were for  ) and so my alignment was out of whack too :(
